| Cllr Clare Whelan, Lambeth's Conservative spokeperson for transport, is urging Lambeth residents to take advantage of Lambeth's cycle training scheme. The scheme has also received the thumbs up from BBC Newsnight's 'ethical man' - reporter Justin Rowlatt - after he received training from David Dansky (pictured with Clare during her tution session, right). Cycle Training UK - a not-for-profit workers' co-operative promoting cycling - provide the service on behalf of Lambeth Council to all residents in the borough. "Cycling is a great way to travel around our congested city, stay fit and healthy and help the environment," says Clare.
